Why is the Boozelator® 5000 the best, and most profitable, vending breathalyzer machine on the market?

The Boozelator® 5000 is capable of generating more revenue than any other vending breathalyzer machine on the market due to our flat panel advertising monitor.  This interactive monitor is capable of running both still and video ads with sound!  You can run as many ads as you wish to sell, though we recommend 24 as a standard rotation. Our high accuracy sensor gives results customers can trust and can create repeat customers. Lower quality machines have lower accuracy (even though they may falsely claim high accuracy), which is likely to deter repeat usage.

The Boozelator® 5000 is the most sleek, professional looking vending breathalyzer on the market.  The sleek appearance fits with almost any bar, pub or club decor. The SMART advertising monitor not only works for running/selling ads, it also walks the user through the instructions as soon as their dollar is inserted, and displays their results on the big screen.

You can choose the best type of sensor for your needs: either Semiconductor or Fuel Cell.  You can choose either coin operated, bill operated and/or put credit card acceptor on your unit, and we have more upgrade options to personalize your machine than any other manufacturer on the market!

How much money can each machine make?

This will depend on different factors such as the type of location, number of advertisers and how much you charge each advertiser. We cannot state any average income earnings nor ROI because we, nor our competitors, have access to view our customer’s financial information.  There are additional profits to be made with advertising. Why haven't breathalyzer vending machines become popular in bars yet?

Breathalyzer vending machines are becoming popular in certain areas of the country, and will be in your area in the near future, it is just a question of who will be the pioneer in your area! There are several reasons why this much needed product has not been made a normal fixture in every bar establishment.

  • The standard in breathalyzer vending up until now has traditionally been with the use of a semiconductor sensor, which is strictly a novelty sensor when it comes to detecting alcohol levels. Most people/bar owners want nothing to do with a public breathalyzer machine that gives inconsistent and inaccurate readings. We have combatted this downfall with the integration of a high accuracy, law enforcement grade fuel cell sensor for results you and your users can trust. If it’s good enough for law enforcement, than it’s good enough for us.
  • The standard design in breathalyzer vending machines have always been unattractive and cheap looking, and most bar owners do not want an ugly machine on their wall. We have combatted this with a classy and professional design so it can be placed in even high-end clubs and lounges
  • Breathalyzer vending manufacturers and resellers have done a very poor job in marketing their product and providing customer support to assist their customers in growing their vending routes. Blo Dad & Sons has the absolute best customer support. We own and operate our own successful BrAC vending and advertising route, and we are happy to share our secrets with our customers!
  • DUI laws were not as strict in the recent past as they are today, so the need for a public breathalyzer machine wasn’t as apparent, nor were people concerned as much with drunk driving. DUI laws are becoming evermore strict, and there is NOW a need for this type of service in a bar. In past years BrAC vending machines were used strictly for fun, now they are also used to promote safety, and the Boozelator® is now the standard with it’s high accuracy, sleek design and unparalleled customer support.

How do I maintain the Boozelator®?

Maintenance is as easy as filling straws, emptying your cash & calibrating the sensor a few times per year!  Straws cost less than $0.01 each, and cost to calibrate can be as little as pennies per machine. Total operating costs are about $2/month or +/-$25/year.

How long will the Boozelator® last?

The Boozelator® 5000 is built to last a lifetime! In the unlikely event that the machine should be out of order, it will be a part that needs replacing (not the entire machine), and all parts are easily swapped out within 3-5 minutes using only a screwdriver or a small wrench. Anyone can work on a Boozelator®, and we include free lifetime customer & technical support for your convenience and assurance.

What is the difference between the SEMICONDUCTOR and FUEL CELL SENSORS?

  • Semiconductor Sensors: Semiconductor sensors “were” the industry standard in vending due to the fact that they are cheaper out of pocket.  They require a ‘sterile air’ environment to have a decent accuracy, like a laboratory where they are made, however, anything but a clean air environment can cause vast inaccuracies. Semiconductor sensors are affected by air quality, so alcohol fumes in the air, smokey bars/night clubs, perfume, cologne, hairspray and other air pollutants are likely to create inaccurate (sometimes vastly inaccurate) readings and cause the sensor to have delays when warming up for use.  In a well ventilated location, they can be okay units, but should never be used for safety. This sensor requires replacement every +/-200-400 uses. The sensor manufacturer that we, and other BAC vending companies use, claim it is good for 1,000+ uses in a sterile air environment, but no bar has sterile air, which brings it closer to 200-400 or less uses. We like to be honest with our customers with some real numbers to expect.  Our semiconductor units are upgradeable to fuel Cell.
  • Fuel Cell Sensors: Fuel Cell Sensors are among the best and most accurate sensors available, and the only one of the two that is used by law enforcement to ensure the most accurate readings.  Our Fuel Cell Sensors are German engineered using Platinum Fuel Cell Technology. Fuel cell sensors can cost as little as $1/year to maintain with regular calibration, the fuel cell sensor ensures high accuracy results as long as you keep them calibrated. Calibration is push button and takes about 60 seconds. Our fuel cell sensors can last 3-5 years before needing to be replaced (15-20 times longer than the average semiconductor sensor). You can save thousands with a fuel cell sensor versus a semiconductor over the life of the machine. With high accurate results you will also find more repeat users and an overall more profitable machine.

How many machines should I order?

We recommend starting off with 6+ machines, though some people have started off with only 1-2 and have grown routes of 25-50+ machines.  There are nice discounts at the 6 & 11+ mark, and at the same time you can build a worthwhile route to make the most of your travels during your route maintenance.  Having multiple machines also allows you to mark your mark before others in your area see and exploit this niche market; just having machines in your city can deter others from purchasing and placing machines from us.  In addition, it can be easier and more profitable to sell advertising on multiple units to bigger advertisers. There is also nothing wrong with starting out small if that is all you can afford. If you reinvest your earnings, you can be on your way to building a successful vending route. Of course the more machines placed, the more money you ca make and the more advertising screens you have to sell!  It’s a numbers game.

How long will it take the Boozelator® 5000 to pay for itself?

Since every location is unique, we have no way of knowing what you will profit with your vending route.  There are many factors that may affect your income such as the amount of traffic in the location of your machine, the type of crowd the venue attracts, the placement of the machine within each location and the number of advertisers paying you to appear on your LCD advertising screen.  FTC laws prevent any business of this sort from speculating ROI.  However, based on our own experience and customer feedback, may machines have been reported to pay for themselves +/- one year without advertisers, and this return can be quicker if you sell advertising. Again, there is no guarantee on ROI with any investment, but the great thing is that you can move your machine to better locations if you are not happy with the usage at your current location. The good thing is that the machine only weighs about 30lbs and can be easily moved, unlike other types of vending machines that may be several hundred lbs.

Can I get a discount

Yes!  Multiple machines warrant greater discounts. We have 8 different price tiers. We also sometimes have great deals on demo/display models. Call, email or ask your sales rep for current deals/specials.

How much will shipping cost?

Depending on where you live and quantity order, please email us for a quote. It is typically $30-$45/machine for shipping.

Can I be held responsible if a patron uses my machine and gets a DUI?

No! The results of the Boozelator® or any other public breathalyzer are not admissible in court as evidence.

  • The Boozelator® warns not to drive with EVERY test result, just as a precaution
  • There is a disclaimer on the front of the machine to relieve you and the bar owner from liability

In order for a breath alcohol test to hold up in court, several steps must be taken:

  • The test must be given in a controlled environment in a designated room, free from polluted air (IE – anywhere public is not a suitable location).
  • The test must be administered by a certified tech.
  • Just as the above, a person cannot self-administer their own drug or alcohol test to hold up as evidence
  • The breathalyzer must keep detailed records, including a time, date and result of each test. The Boozelator®3001 does not keep records.
  • The breathalyzer must have two sensors that must be accurate within a certain range of each other. Every state may have a slightly different range. The Boozelator® only has one sensor, just like a roadside police breathalyzer.
  • For reference: even a roadside police breathalyzer that the police keep in their cruisers is not meant for evidence, it is simply meant to generate probable cause in order to bring you to the station to administer the official breathalyzer test.

Can I accept CASH, COIN & CREDIT CARD in one machine?
